Health Benefits Of Maharastrian's Favourite Sabudana Vada Also Know How You Can Make Them

Everyone wants a cheat day in a week where they can have their favourite food or a sweet tooth. All of us like to have a crispy, fried and tasty tea-time snack. But the problem is to decide what to have during tea time snack and most importantly it should healthy snacks too.

What if we tell you that your favourite snack can be healthy. Made from potatoes, peanut powder, sago and herbs, sabudana vada is a favourite tea time snack of Maharashtrians. They are also popular for vrat or fasting food. Here we are sharing how the humble sabudana vada can help women facing hormonal issues including hot flushes.

Made of gluten-free ingredients, sabudana vada is known for providing instant energy.

How to make tasty and healthy sabudana vada

Ingredients

1 cup – Sabudana

1 cup – Water for soaking

1/4 tsp – Salt or rock salt

4-5 no – Green chillies

1tsp – Cumin seeds

2 no – Medium-sized potatoes

1/2 cup – Roasted peanuts

1-2tbsp – Finely chopped coriander leaves

Oil for frying

Method

*Take sabudana and wash it 2-3 times before soaking. Soak it overnight.

*Next morning, takeout the sabudana.

*Get a pan and add roasted and coarsely ground peanuts, salt or rock salt, coarsely crushed cumin seeds and green chillies and finely chopped coriander leave and mix them well.

*Now add the boiled and peeled mashed potatoes to it and mix it well.

*Take some mixture in the hand and form a ball of it. Now gently press it.

*While you are making balls of sabudana mixture, heat oil in a frying pan.

*Check if the oil is hot enough by dropping a small part of the mixture to the oil. Fry all the vadas similarly.
