You just need:
1 cup of icing sugar
½ cup of softened butter
1 tsp of vanilla essence
*In a bowl, add a half cup of softened butter and beat it until it becomes fluffy in texture.
*Now, add a teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix it, further add two batches of icing sugar and them all together. Now turn your beater on and mix it for 2-3 minutes until all the ingredients mix together.
*With the help of a spatula, keep scraping the sugar from the sides of the bowl and make sure everything is combined seamlessly.
*Your vanilla buttercream is all ready to use, you can either use the buttercream immediately or store it in an airtight container.
