We all have cravings and to satiate those craving we search for some healthy snack. But, incase if you have run out of options and ideas so it is the time that you should try your cooking skills on some sumptuous gujrati cuisine handvo which is a great snack of the time.
Here we have shared the easy recipe of Gujrati handvo. This savoury cake is known for its distinct flavours and can be eaten as a dish by itself or enjoyed with a side pickle or chutney.
1 cup – Semolina (Rava or Suji)
½ cup – Curd
Chopped vegetables – French beans, tomatoes, onions, green chillies, green peas, grated carrots
Salt as per taste
Coriander leaves, finely chopped
½ tsp – Fruit salt
3-4 tbsp – Oil
A pinch of asafoetida
Green curry leaves
*Take a bowl and add suji and curd to it. Mix it well and add two spoons of water and mix it well.
*Let it rest for 15 minutes.
*Now add some chopped veggies of your choice along with finely chopped chillies.
*Add some salt and water. Add finely chopped coriander leaves to the mixture.
*Add half a spoon of water and immediately add some fruit salt.
*Now take a large pan and add three-four tablespoons oil, some mustard seeds, cumin seeds, a pinch of asafoetida, and curry leaves.
*Now spread handvo batter and mix in the pan.
*Cook on both sides by covering the lid.
*Your crispy and soft handvo is all ready to eat.
